Design proposals and planning approval

The design process begins during initial consultations with the client. The client brief coupled with information gathered from site visits allows us to make initial sketches and begin the design process. Our aim is to identify and develop the best design solution right from the start of your project. This allows completion of final design proposals ahead of the planning application and council approval.

Construction Drawings and Building regulations approval

During this stage, your approved design proposals are developed into full construction drawings with your preferences on the principle construction method, space heating system choices and selection of renewables systems to name few, are explored and agreed.  The completed drawings are then submitted to the council for building control approval.

Project Management and contract administration of works on site

Once planning and building control approvals are secured, we can if required, tender the project to selected contractors for competitive pricing. We assist with contractor appointment, administer the building contract, and oversee site progress – ensuring quality, programme adherence, and that payments to the contractor reflect the work completed at each stage.

 Outside Consultants

Throughout all stages of our service, and depending on the nature of your particular project, we will advise on the requirement for outside consultants you may need to engage and liaise fully with them on your behalf.  Such consultants may include planning consultants, quantity surveyors, structural engineers and ecologists. We will always act as your single point of contact throughout, ensuring a hassle free journey to approval and project completion.
